Author's Pov.
It was a sunny morning 🌄 of May. It was already 7 a.m. Everyone is already up because it's their usual time to get up for work.
But for one special person or you can extraordinary people Miss Jhanvi Singh, it was still very early.
Uff! ya larki humme pagal kar de gi kise din, ya time ha sone ka. Baato sabb ghar ke bache apne apne school - college chale ge par ya larki abbey takk so rahe h...Ayye Bhagwan! Kya karo ma iss larki ka... ap hi baatea.
(Uff! What should I do of this girl? She will make me mad someday. Is it time to sleep till now, everyone nearby has gone to their school- college. But this is girl is still sleeping. O God! You tell me what should I do with her)
Said her mother from downstairs.
Jhanvi was lying in her bed upstairs sleeping peacefully. But her sleep broke because of her mom's continuous nagging for her. She lazily opened her eyes to see the time. It was 7.12 a.m.
Jhanvi's pov.
Again she started. Like seriously! It's 7 a.m. now and she is nagging like 12 noon now.
Ahhhhhh!!!!!!😫😫
Mummy yrr! Sone do na aaj Saturday ha. Please!!!
(Mummy! Let me sleep, it's Saturday today. Please!!!)
I shouted from my room to her.
After listening to me, she was silent.
And I knew what was next.
The next moment she was in my room, glaring me but I am her daughter, it doesn't effect me.
After a good 2 minutes of staring me, what she did after that annoyed me.
SHE SWITCH OFF THE DAMM CEILING FAN....😫😭
WHYY!!!???
She has to do this things with me.
After seeing my reaction, she gets out of my room with a satisfaction on her face.
Because she knows, now I have to anyhow get up from bed, even if I have to switch on the fan too.
VERY SMART...😩🥱
Author's Pov.
Downstairs, on the dining table, everyone was present and doing their routine work.
Maanvi was doing her breakfast because she has to go to her school. Mohan (her father) was reading his newspaper and waiting for his breakfast to be served. Pushpa (her mother) was in the kitchen making breakfast for her husband and packing lunches for them and continuously complaining about Jhanvi.
Maanvi is the first one to go out of the house because she is a teacher in primary school and she has to go early morning only.
Then it's Jhanvi's time to go to her office where she works as an intern. She works in corporate office, so it's Saturday off for her. And it's her favorite day.
And at last, their father goes to his office. He is a government bank manager. He is a very respectful man.
Their mother stays at home and do household work. She has a sharp tongue but a clean and kind heart.
Their both parents are strict from front for them but love their daughters alot.
Maanvi's pov.
I was silently having my breakfast with my father and was listening to mom's continuous complaints for Jhanvi.
I thought about going in her room to see her before going to school because I know she still have not gotten up and mom will kill her today, if she goes in her room and see her still lying on bed.
After eating my breakfast, I move to upstairs and enter her room.
As expected, she was still lying on bed and didn't woke up.
Huh!😮💨
But why the room is so hot?
Then I see, the ceiling fan was switched off. 🤭 So mom did it. But I think she doesn't know her daughter even a earthquake comes or the world goes upside down, still she can't wake up her elder daughter. She will only wake up when she wants, none can snatch her this favorite thing from her.
❤️"HER SLEEP"❤️
I switch on the fan and go towards her.
Jhanvi, uthoo! Mummy kabb sa bol rahe h tumko uthne ko. Uthooo na! Dekho 7.20 a.m. ho gya h. Humko bhi school Jana h. Utho jaoo.
(Jhanvi, wake up! Mom is calling you for so long. Wake up! See it's already 7.20 a.m. I have to also go to the school. Wake up.)
I was shaking her and calling her name but still she didn't wake up.
After few moments, she opens her eyes, annoyance was written on her face.
I chuckled watching her expression, she is so cute.
I pulled her both the cheeks smiling and said,
Good morning humari pyaari badi bhena.
(Good morning my lovely elder sister)
She removes my hands annoying from her cheeks and sit straight.
Yrr! Ya ya gaal matt kecha karo, dard hota h. Aur ha! Hum na tumse sirf 10 minutes hi Barre h. Thik h!
(Yrr! Don't pull my cheeks like this, it hurts. And yes! I am only 10 minutes elder than you. OK)
She said rubbing her cheeks with her hands.
I sat on her bed and said,
Utho jaoo, abb Kab utto gi. Mummy Kab sa tumko niche bula rahe hai. Nashta bhi ho gya hamara. Tum bhi uth ka kar lo.
(Wake up, now when will you get up. Mummy is calling you downstairs for so long. We have eaten our breakfast also. You also do it)
Then she said casually,
It's mummy daily routine, nagging about me all day but I am her daughter, it won't effect me. And today is Saturday means holiday. So, lift your ass up and get out of my room and don't disturb me.
But tomorrow is Sunday. So, it means tomorrow is holiday too.
I told her, seeing her lying again.
She gave me a look 'like you don't know' and said,
Maanvi asse baate na karo, Jase ki tumhe patta nhi h ki Sunday ko kya hota h. Aaj tak hum sab Sunday ko kabhi aaram se sooe h. Sarre din toh Jhanvi apna room saaf karo, Maanvi Chai Bana do, Jhanvi ya la aao, Maanvi ya kar do. Sunday ko toh Sara din hum sabb kaam karte h.
Toh baato vo holiday kase hua??
(Maanvi don't say like you don't know, what we do on Sunday. Till now, ever we got time to rest on Sunday. Whole day we have to do some or the other work. So, tell me how is it Sunday? How say it as a holiday??)
Oo acha! Toh apke language ma kya hota ha holiday?
(Oo OK! So what is holiday in your language?)
I asked her smiling.
She happily sat up, putting her hairs behind her ears and started explaining,
See, holiday means a day on which you can relax. You don't have to worry about your boss, your clients, your target to achieve at work for promotion, you can easily relax all day without any tension. A day which is all yours, on which you can do what you want. And for me it is sleep, eat and then sleep.
After saying this, she was dreamingly smiling at her words.
Watching her like this, I busted into laughter.
She was about to say something to me, when papa shouted from downstairs,
Maanvi, school nhi Jana! Aur Jhanvi uthe ki nhi?
(Maanvi, don't you have to go to school! And Jhanvi wake up or not?)
Before I could reply to him, Jhanvi jumped from the bed and ran 🏃♀️ to bathroom. I giggled watching her, atleast she is afraid of papa.
After doing her bed, I also go to school.
